Her family had to evacuate Berlin and moved to a small village. After the war they moved back to Berlin, just in time for the blockade.In 1954 she immigrated to Canada, in a little town in the Province of Quebec, called La Tuque where she went to school until she moved to Montreal and went to school there for a year.She later moved back to Germany, finished her education there and got a degree in banking, met her husband and together they immigrated to the US, to San Francisco in 1965. A few years later she had 5 “miscarriages” and in 1983 her son was born there.
