New Ahsoka TrailerThe official trailer for Star Wars: Ahsoka was released during Star Wars Celebration, confirming that the series will be released on Disney+ in August 2023. The trailer teased the return of characters from Star Wars: Rebels, including Hera Syndulla, Sabine Wren, and Chopper, as well as a first glimpse of live-action Grand Admiral Thrawn. Actress Rosario Dawson hinted at the possibility of a second season if the first season is successful.Rey ReturnsDaisy Ridley, who starred in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, is set to appear in another Star Wars film. The film, led by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, will take place 15 years after the events of Rise of Skywalker and follow Ridley’s character as she rebuilds the Jedi Order. Ridley expressed excitement about continuing the journey and working with a powerful Jedi master.Three New Star Wars Live-Action MoviesJames Mangold, Dave Filoni, and Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy will direct three new Star Wars films. Mangold’s film will go back to the dawn of the Jedi, Filoni’s film will focus on the New Republic, and Obaid-Chinoy’s film will feature Daisy Ridley back as Rey as she builds a new Jedi Order. Filoni, who has been an integral part of Star Wars for years, will direct his first live-action film. Obaid-Chinoy is an Academy Award and Emmy Award-winning director.Andor Season 2Andor Season 2 will premiere on Disney+ in August 2024, according to series creator Tony Gilroy. The team is currently halfway through shooting, with plans to finish in August and spend another year on post-production. Clips from Season 2 were shown at Star Wars Celebration, featuring Mon Mothma and main characters Cassian, Dedra, Syril, and Bix. Gilroy discussed how knowing the show is ending with Season 2 has helped the team with their direction and planning.More Acolyte InfoThe Acolyte, the upcoming Disney+ series set in the High Republic era, will be released on the streaming platform in 2024. Creator Leslye Headland shared during Star Wars Celebration that the show would be “Frozen meets Kill Bill,” and set between the Old Republic and the prequels. The series will focus on the bad guys, and Headland promised the series would show exciting things that fans had never seen before. The Acolyte’s clip revealed Lee Jung-jae’s character leading a bunch of Jedi and featured big fights, aliens, and lots of Jedi.Skeleton Crew Cast RevealedDisney and Lucasfilm unveiled a first look at the upcoming Star Wars series Skeleton Crew, starring Jude Law. The show is slated for release in 2023, although no exact date was provided. The trailer showcased the show’s inspirations from The Goonies, featuring children going on exciting adventures. The cast, including Law and child actors Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Kyriana Kratter, and Robert Timothy Smith, also made an appearance during the Star Wars Celebration. Law expressed his excitement for being a part of the show and working with talented people behind the scenes.New Indiana Jones TrailerDuring the Lucasfilm Studio Showcase at Star Wars Celebration, a new trailer for the upcoming theatrical release of “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” was revealed.
