After Suicides, a Texas Veterinary Community Opens Up

Veterinary medicine has a suicide rate that's one of the highest in the healthcare profession. For the veterinary community in Dallas, those statistics hit home last year. If you’re considering suicide, or are worried about someone who might be, please get help. We’ve compiled a list of resources here. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is 1-800-273-8255 and is open 24 hours a day. This piece was produced in partnership with the Dallas Morning News. See their photographs and video from the veterinary hospital in Dallas that we visited here. Did you know we have a weekly email newsletter for the Death, Sex & Money community?
