They also discuss the impact of the Renaissance and some of the other important figures involved in this great period of cultural, artistic and scientific enlightenment, including the Italian poet Dante Alighieri and the German poet Johann Wolfgang von Goeth. The professore also discusses the vineyard in Milan that was given to Leonardo as a gift in 1498 and the lessons that today's wine-makers can learn from Leonardo's approach to agriculture and nature.
