Wendell Perkins: "They Are Finally Home"

This week, Martha is joined by Wendell Perkins, World War II Marine veteran who served in the Battle of Tarawa. Wendell tells Martha his memory of enlisting in the Marine Corps during World War II, his close friends he served with in the war and how grateful he was when History Flight, an organization that repatriates remains from battle sites in the pacific, recovered the remains of his friends from the battlefield decades later.
