#195 - Learning About the Largest SW Media Archive in the World with Jelena Vermilion

I'm honoured to bring on Jelena Vermillion onto the show this week. Jelena is an icon in the SWer advocacy space. She is also the founder and holder the largest SWer media archive in the world. You might be curious about what might be contained in the archive or what is SWer media archive. It houses a number of different media mediums such as zines, audio, articles, and more. Jelena shares with us on the podcast her story on how she got the funding for the archive (and it's an incredible story) and why she provides this for the community. Although she gatekeeps the access, she does stress that this is done solely for the protection of our community. Academics, researchers and writers often ask for access to the archive but questions their motivations. We also speak about Jelena's current projects and advocacy work in the episode as well.
