A nationally certified Assisted Living Administrator, Crisp was first appointed by Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam to the Board for Licensing Health Care Facilities beginning January 2014. He now is serving in his eighth year and chairs the Assisted Care Living Facility standing committee and serves as the Board’s Chair Pro Tem. Crisp’s committee promulgates all rules and regulations for licensed assisted living and residential homes for the aged in Tennessee. The Board is empowered to license and regulate all hospitals, recuperation centers, nursing homes, homes for the aged, home care organizations, assisted living facilities, birthing centers, residential hospices, and ambulatory surgical treatment facilities. The Board is required to promulgate all fire and life safety code regulations and standards for resident and patient care in all licensed healthcare facilities in the state of Tennessee. Crisp is known as an influencer and thought leader in the industry and has spoken at multiple national senior housing conferences such as HealthTAC, InterFace Senior Housing and has been a partner to Argentum, National Investment Centers for Senior Housing (NIC), American Seniors Housing Association (ASHA), Environments for Aging (EFA) and Senior Living Innovation Forum (SLIF). The passion project is a partnership of several like-minded influencers that formed the brand: Bridge the GapTM. The weekly show launched in March of 2018 on a host of audio and video platforms including iTunes and YouTube. The media network has a tremendous following & contains the largest library of senior-living specific content and has an international reach. The platform produces content 365 days a year for the senior housing industry on multiple channels and now creates experiences events for the industry. The media company is produced and managed by Solinity Marketing. For fun, Josh enjoys working out & preparing for obstacle course races. In the fall of 2016, Crisp formed what would eventually become the 501c3 non-profit Pedal for Alzheimer’s, Ltd. Pedal for Alzheimer’s is the umbrella organization that creates and manages charity cycling events to benefit organizations that are involved in Alzheimer’s research, care, and education. The first event, Pedal for Pat, created in 2017, was a 1,098-mile bike ride covering three states in just eleven days. The event was featured in Sports Illustrated, USA Today, ESPN, and multiple other regional and national media outlets. The charity event raised over $100,000 for the Pat Summitt Foundation in honor of late-legendary basketball coach Pat Summitt’s 1,098 career NCAA wins. The passion project has received national and international recognition and support.

Crisp will celebrate his fifth anniversary of serving as President of the Board of the nationally-recognized charitable organization. Pedal for Alzheimer’s has hosted multiple cycling events, launched a national Ambassador program, and has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations to further the mission of the organization. Josh resides in Fountain City with his wife, Lauren, and their three children.
