Double Jeopardy: Evil Twins Grab Bag

Double Jeopardy: Evil Twins Grab Bag

According to the newspaper The Guardian, there are at least 125 million twins and triplets living today. Twins come into the world together, and they can have an almost supernatural bond. Most of the time it’s a beautiful thing, but it can go sideways, too. Take, for example, the Eriksson twins, Sabina and Ursula, who in the spring of 2008, shocked the United Kingdom by dashing out into traffic, and fighting off anybody who tried to stop them. Ursula was badly hurt and needed a hospital stay, but Sabina was released after a short police interview. The next morning, in the grip of paranoia, she stabbed a man to death. The Eriksson twins are one of the only recorded examples of folie a deux, or “the madness of two,” a fascinating psychological phenomenon where two close people share the same delusion. And that’s just one of the many ways in which the twin bond can go wrong. We’re about to show you a couple others. Case 1: Scammers Charlene Corley and Darlene Wooten. Case 2: The Han Sisters, Sunny and Jeena.
