Episode 705: Ghost hack latest - €5.8m in cryptocurrency seized from creator of encrypted network

The man who police believe created the encrypted 'Ghost' network taken down in a recent global action by law enforcement, and one which has ensnared members of The Family gang Ireland, has seen a crypto account containing more than 5 million in currency frozen.

The so called ‘computer geek’ who went breaking bad to develop and sell the top secret communication network collected the money over just a few years and is now before the courts in his native Australia.

Nicola speaks to Niall Donald about Ghost, its creator and the on going investigation into the heads of the Family network in Ireland.
