Vuoden 1980 joulun tienoilla näkivät monet ihmiset outoja valoja Rendleshamin metsän yläpuolella. Havaintoja tekivät myös monet Yhdysvaltojen ilmavoimien sotilaat. Tapaus onkin poikkeuksellisen hyvin dokumentoitu ja siksi varsin uskottava, mutta sitä varjostaa edelleen salaisuuksien viitta.
