AI's Search for Truth

Is truth relative or universal? To some, truth is foundational, an undeniable and immoveable reality, while to others it is relative to each human being. One of the greatest fears around artificial intelligence is that it will not recognize the truth. So how does artificial intelligence understand truth? And does it think truth is relative to each person, or universal to everyone?
