Donna Adelson is back inside a Tallahassee courtroom for a case management hearing ahead of her September murder trial.

Donna is charged with 1st degree murder in the conspiracy to kill her ex son-in-law FSU Law Professor Dan Markel.

Judge Jay Blitzman (Retired) served as the First Justice of the Massachusetts Middlesex County Juvenile Court Division. Prior to his twenty-four year judicial career he was a public defender and was the first director of the Roxbury Youth Advocacy Project, a multi-disciplinary legal services unit which was the basis for creating a state wide public defender division.

Jared Ross is a high school acquaintance of Charlie Adelson, having graduated with him in 1995, and was a long time friend of Danny Markel and Wendi Adelson. Jared is a two-time graduate of Florida State University, having earned both his bachelor’s and Juris Doctorate from FSU. He currently resides in Tallahassee and is an attorney and lobbyist.
