According to Weinstein’s representative he was rushed to the hospital on Sunday, September 8th, 2024, for emergency open heart surgery. In his status conference in Illinois, Girardi wasn't present and prosecutors asked to continue to the pre-trial conferences until December 18th, 2024. They indicated that they may drop the charges against Girardi after his sentencing on December 6th, 2024 in Los Angeles.
