Surveillance: Slowing Innovation Hit Productivity, Phelps Says

Edmund Phelps, winner of the 2006 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences, says innovation is making workers more effective, but what they are producing is less valuable and that's why wages are falling. Alessio de Longis, portfolio manager at OppenheimerFunds, says he expects a modest bounce in emerging market growth.
