S4 Ep2: The Rise and Fall of the Fake Sheikh

S4 Ep2: The Rise and Fall of the Fake Sheikh

This week's episode tells the story of Mazher Mahmood, a journalist with the News of the World and later the Sun on Sunday. Mazher thought he was untouchable. Adopting the persona of a rich middle-eastern businessman, Mazher would set up celebrities, sports stars and royalty in high profile stings, using any means necessary to create a scandalous headline. Literally dozens of people went to prison off the back of his evidence. There was just one problem, he was a liar. Retribution would find its way to Mazher when he set his sights on the pop star Tulisa Contostavlos, who was instrumental in bringing him down.
