Episode 1061: A dairy farmer turned major cannabis importer appeals eight-year prison sentence

An unlikely-looking drugs dealer has launched an appeal against his eight -year sentence for importing €730k worth of cannabis into Ireland.

Martin Murray, who runs a dairy farm in Moneygall in Co Offaly, did not look like the typical underworld figure when he was caught with the drugs haul in his truck.

Today, Niall speaks with Eimear Rabbitt about how Murray had previously been jailed over an heroin seizure and had links to a notorious gangland criminal.
