Donna Adelson, Lori Vallow, Sarah Boone: Convicted K*llers Who Once Appeared on Game Shows

Game show killers may sound unbelievable, but several convicted criminals once appeared on television game shows long before their names became tied to shocking murder cases. In this episode of the STS Podcast, we explore the disturbing connection between game show killers and high-profile true crime news, focusing on Donna Adelson, Lori Vallow, and Sarah Boone.

We break down how these individuals once appeared in lighthearted TV game show environments before later becoming central figures in some of the most shocking real crime stories in recent years. From the legal battles surrounding Donna Adelson in the murder of Dan Markel, to Lori Vallow’s notorious doomsday-related crimes, and Sarah Boone’s bizarre suitcase murder case, the contrast between their TV appearances and criminal convictions is chilling.

This episode examines why cases like these capture so much public attention and how seemingly ordinary moments—like appearing on a game show—can later take on an eerie meaning once the truth emerges. Through analysis and discussion, the STS Podcast explores the psychology, media coverage, and public fascination surrounding these game show killers, while connecting the stories to broader themes in survivor stories, true crime news, and even the haunting persistence of cold cases and unresolved investigations.
