Sylvain Horwood is the creator of PURU, Switzerland’s top natural sun care brand. Through PURU’s 100% natural sunscreen and the character Captain PURU, Sylvain shares his deep knowledge of well-being, natural personal care, and sustainable living.

Raised on an organic macrobiotic diet in 1980s London, Sylvain moved to Zürich in 2015. Struggling to find truly natural products in Switzerland, he began crafting his own—leading to the founding of PURU in 2018, along with the creation of Captain PURU, a cuddly Pudgy Penguins character.
