THE GUILT TRAP: UNDERSTANDING OCD & ITS EMOTIONAL IMPACT

In this episode, I reflect on some of my blog posts from 2010, particularly those centered around the theme of guilt. I express amazement at how certain aspects of my feelings have remained consistent over time. These feelings of guilt revolve around various individuals in my life, including my maternal and paternal grandmothers, my father, and a minister from a previous church. I recount the countless hours, days, and years spent feeling responsible for the well-being and happiness of these individuals. However, I’ve now reached a point where these feelings of guilt have largely faded from my present-day consciousness.

I believe that we should listen to our current selves when we experience guilt and recognize that these feelings are temporary, urging us not to let them occupy unnecessary mental space. However, implementing this practice is challenging!
