GET OUT! - The voice that saved my life with Dr. Sheri Lake

What happens when the life you built almost kills you? What if the voice that saves your life also asks that you burn your script?

In this episode of Exposing the Hidden Reality conversation, we sit down for a candid talk with Dr. Sheri Lake, former professor and now angel communicator and author of the forthcoming memoir Get Out: A Woman’s Guide to Divine Rebellion.

She shares the story of the moment that changed her life direction and the months of work after. One day, on her commute home, she was hit head on by a car coming in the opposite direction at full speed. That car accident nearly took her life; she had a near-death experience. From her empty back seat, she heard a voice that commanded “Get out!”

That moment shattered the performance of perfection she had been living. In this conversation, she takes us inside her long recovery from brain injury, the limits of “doing all the right things,” and the deep spiritual and somatic work that followed.

We talk about:
  • The split second where intuition speaks and why learning to trust it changes everything
  • How burnout, betrayal, and “having it all” can quietly become self abandonment
  • The “should” soundtrack that keeps women stuck in shame and over-responsibility
  • Why saying no is a sacred act of self-leadership
  • Practical tools for nervous system safety, somatic healing, and everyday spiritual support

This conversation is for every woman who has ever thought, “I followed the rules and I am still exhausted.” Sheri reminds us that every ending, every bridge burned, can become a gate we walk through into a more honest, unscripted life.

About Dr. Sheri Lake
Dr. Sheri Lake is the author of Get Out-A Woman’s Guide to Divine Rebellion, a forthcoming spiritual-somatic memoir about survival, self-trust, and rebuilding life after a near-death experience. A former professor with a doctorate in communication sciences, Sheri walked away from a marriage and academia, choosing radical self-trust over staying small.

Now, she teaches women to trust themselves again after burnout, betrayal, and big life changes. Through The Unscripted Woman™, her work blends nervous system wisdom, somatic tools, and angelic guidance to help women reclaim their power and write a new script for their lives. Her story is a bold reminder: every ending is also an opening.
