Day 24 The Three Chairs

Day 24 The Three Chairs

DAY 24 — THE THREE CHAIRS

A counselor placed three chairs in front of her client:
one labeled PAST,
one PRESENT,
one FUTURE.

She said,
“Sit where you spend most of your emotional energy.”

The client hesitated,
walked slowly,
and sat in the chair labeled PAST.
Tears rolled down her cheeks.

The counselor gently moved the PRESENT chair
closer to her and said,
“This is the only chair God sits in.
He meets you in the now.”

We often live trapped in the wrong chair:
regret from yesterday,
fear of tomorrow,
avoiding the discomfort of today.

But Lent is not about time travel.
It is about facing the truth
of this moment.

What is God asking of you today?
What healing is needed now?
What repentance cannot wait?

Grace does not live in the past.
Hope does not live in the future.
God transforms you
in the chair you avoid most:
the chair called today.
