But it is also drenched in unreality, because the first public “reveal” was an AI-generated fantasy reel: an uncanny value of dictator chic, drenched in gold, gold everywhere, and on everything. Trump’s name stamped on the skyline, a presidential jet in the lobby, White House replicas inside, and a giant gold statue of Trump raised above the mass of the faithful like some imperial mascot of post-modern, ironic American kitsch.
