Robert Lewandowski captained the side for the day; other regulars included Leroy Sané, Leon Goretzka, Benjamin Pavard, Kingsley Coman among others, Coman would not last long, sustaining an injury early in the first half and being taken off for Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.There were chances from Jamal Musiala, Serge Gnabry, Dayot Upamecano and Choupo-Moting in the first half but the teams went into the half 0-0. Julian Nagelsmann made nine changes to start off the second half.
