Three Guys One Hammer: The Dnepropetrovsk Maniacs

Three Guys One Hammer: The Dnepropetrovsk Maniacs

In the penultimate episode of season two, the ICMAP boys head back to Eastern Europe in order to shine a light on a case that received global attention due to the upload of a significant viral snuff video. Tom and Ben explore the Ukrainian teenagers behind the evil and chilling gore video: “3 Guys, 1 Hammer” as well as their 20 additional slayings committed over a three week period... Igor and Viktor, ‘The Dnepropetrovsk Maniacs’.

July 7th, 2007 - two 14-year-old school friends Vadim and Andrei make special efforts to wake up before sunrise in order to travel to the nearby Kil’chen River. The boys plan on spending the day at the river in order to catch fresh fish to bring home to their mothers. Without a care in the world, the boys meet and meander off into the darkness, through the silent countryside roads of Pidhorodne. As the boys make their way into a heavily wooded section of road just a few metres from the river, a green daewoo taxicab overtakes them and aggressively pulls to a halt. Two silhouettes exit the vehicle and stand in the middle of the road, motionless. The figures do not move... Nervously, the young boys try to pass, they are met with sudden and vicious force which throws them from their cycles and a frantic, frenzied attack ensues. Vadim manages to flee and spends the rest of the early morning’s darkness hiding in the nearby woods, Andrei wasn’t so lucky... The sounds of hysterical laughter and deranged exclamations pierce through the pine... along with the glare of the Daewoo's headlights. Vadim cowers in cover as Andrei is brutalised. The maniacs strike again... The attacks not only become more frequent and more heinous, but they become more documented. Known globally on gore sites as the evil behind ‘3 Guys, 1 Hammer’, the Dnepropetrovsk Maniacs continue to upload, continue to attack and continue to run free...

But what drove these young boys to brutally murder 21 people in 21 days? Why did the parents continually allow the boys to “get away with murder”? What big mistake did Igor make that would lead to their demise? And was there an international syndicate who had ordered 40 snuff videos from the boys?

Tune in, and all will be revealed!

For decades, women across the United States were disappearing, their cases often overlooked, misclassified, or forgotten. Behind it all was one man: Samuel Little.Little’s crimes spanned more than 30 years, making him America’s most prolific confirmed serial killer. He claimed responsibility for over 90 murders, and the FBI later verified at least 60 of them, a chilling record in U.S. history. We also look at how modern investigative work finally exposed the full scale of his atrocities, leading to a shocking legacy that still raises questions about law enforcement failures, victim profiling, and justice for the forgotten. This is the story of manipulation, brutality, and a criminal who managed to hide in plain sight. For HUNDREDS more cases (and to request your own!), visit icmap.co.uk now and sign up for free!Presented by Tom Norris & Ben CarterWritten by Ben CarterProduced by Dan J LambertEdited by Ben Bonsey Hosted on Acast.
