It is a New Moon this week in the sign of Leo and things are looking good! We are having a harmonious aspect in Mars, Jupiter, and Gemini and that means *fingers crossed* some very good restarts.

It is also that time of the year again when it is said that the Lion's Gate Portal is activated. It is one of the most controversial events that has the Astrology community divided. In this episode of the Mainly Moonology Podcast, we are revisiting a beloved episode that explores what Lion's Gate is and what Astrologers think of this cosmic event.

And instead of choosing one side, I put out my journalist hat and invited two amazing Astrologers who have different takes on this event.

So what IS Lion's Gate?

It is said, the Lion's Gate portal opens once a year on 8/8. This is a time when the sun is in Leo, Orion's belt, the star Sirius, as well as the earth all line up. In numerology, 8 also carries a lot of significance, so two 8s when August 8 (8/8) happens, it gives the practitioner a potent opportunity to manifest their deepest dreams and desires.

For non-believers, 8/8 doesn't add up. It seems to be a miscommunication about an Aquarius lunar eclipse in 1998 and is not considered Astrology.

Whichever side you stand, If there is an important takeaway we can all agree on it is that it really is about the intention we put behind things and the sacred space we create around ourselves.
