So my dads friend I knew committed suicide today.

My dad tried to raise him to get him away from his drug addiction but his demons seem to be coming back. He even had him stay at our place a few times to get him into a better environment. I always knew he had issues, but what is unfortunate his dad killed himself 16 years earlier. He was my dad's cousin and one of his best friends. It is a shame that his life had to end at such an early age. I have struggled with mental health issues, even to the point where I would probably be called out as a horrible person for making light of suicide, but deep down this frustrates me because it could of very well been me many years back when I was severely struggling with the fact I wanted to kill myself. My dad visited his cousins grave just a week ago, and visited his son 3 weeks ago. It is a shame because my dad is pretty hurt by the suicide. I am not fully certain if it was a drug overdose but it is most likely. Please share your condolences and put this family in your prayers.
