Guest-Moderator John Camacho After moving on from the financial services industry, John began working as a portfolio manager for Italian Wine Merchants in New York where he honed his passion for wine. John worked for more than ten years at IWM, becoming Senior Portfolio Manager, Showroom Manager, Seminar Director, and lecturer making him a well-informed educator of Italian wine. Having worked, working with DP – Selezioni as manager of sales and business development, he is an ambassador to a collection of boutique wineries from Italy's most notable regions, providing educational training and additional sales & marketing support in the US to some well-known brands along with many small and first-generation rising stars. John is also an Italian Wine Ambassador program at Vinitaly International Academy (VIA). In special collaboration with Wine Link Italy John is establishing Emilia Sur Li, New York / Miami. This is an event that transmits the knowledge of the traditions of the Emilia-Romagna sparkling wines, the region its food and culture. Oscar enrolled at University of Milano, graduating with a degree in viticulture and enology in June 2015, and began working for the winery "Dirupi" in Valtellina (viticultural area located on the Alps) . His love for Nebbiolo was born here. He moved to Western Australia for 1 year working in the Great Southern area, working with Resling and Shiraz. Back in Italy in 2011 he will work for Livio Felluga in Friuli and Poggio San Polo in Montalcino until 2013. Now stands at the helm of the vineyards and cellar, having worked side by side with Domenico from 2013 to 2017. He understood Domenico like few others and was treated as a son. Working in some of the most coveted wine regions and cellars throughout Italy, Oscar has brought his knowledge and experience from outside of Piedmont and has helped to make significant adjustments and improvements in the winery and vineyards. As a team over the past years, Domenico and Oscar brought the wines to a level they have never been before. Today as Oscar takes the winery forward, he carries on Domenico’s vision and dream of making pure wines that fully express the true character and potential of the land.
