Derek Gannon is a Green Beret who served in combat during the Global War on Terrorism. He was a part of 82nd Airborne, 173rd Airborne Brigade Co., and Ranger Training Brigade. He is also an experienced journalist with an expertise in writing about African national security as well as domestic affairs.
