What is the “right” way your ex should act after a breakup? Your many answers to that question are the set of rules you’re expecting him or her to follow—and it’s keeping you heartbroken. So, in this episode, I’m going to help you break them. Unlike laws, there aren’t established “breakup rules.” Like laws, even if there were legitimate policies on how to act, people are going to disobey them anyway. That being said: in order to get over our exes, we have to learn to let go of these personal expectations for our greater peace of mind.
