Pocket Phoenix joins us today on the podcast to speak about her movement journey which eventually lead to her stripping in the city. Originally of burlesque origins, she branched off into other interdisciplinary forms of movement and dance including FIlipino arnis, Jamaican dance hall and wrestling! Yes, wrestling - who knew!? Through dance, she was able to become reacquainted with her Filipino heritage - something that was lost years ago over a broken friendship and was able to find herself and to mend a broken heart post-break up. She speaks about her experience at the Burlesque Hall of Fame with Screaming Chickens back in the day and touches on great resources for strippers in terms of podcasts (this isn't the only one out there!), stripper courses and one-on-ones.
