Recovering alcoholic Charles 'Chuck' Dederich founded Synanon in 1958 to provide substance abuse reform to drug users as well as alcoholics in Santa Monica, California.

This episode we discuss the first day of the rest of your life and the man who coined that phrase. We induct Mr. Rogers into The Nice Cult, Thor tells a few stories, and Cally kisses Gunnar.
