Am I the jerk for being mad at my GF's family because of Christmas?

Daniel asks if he's the jerk for how he reacted after learning that he couldn't spend the holidays with his partner because he wasn't invited to his girlfriend's family Christmas trip. Even though many other non-family friends were welcomed! Yikes!
