On May 5, 1993, 8-year-olds Stevie Branch, Chris Byers and Michael Moore went missing while riding their bikes in West Memphis, Arkansas. They were found dead the next day in a drainage ditch. Very quickly, police narrowed their focus in on Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin, and Jessie Misskelley Jr. These three teenagers would become known as the West Memphis 3.
