Tonight's story to help you sleep is Wives and Daughters by Elizabeth Gaskell. Published as a serial from 1864, this is Gaskell's final novel. It follows the daughter of a country doctor called Molly Gibson. In this episode, young Molly is invited to a gala at the Cumnor House.
