Riley and Derek start the show talking about losing their mens league championship. Jumping into some Flyers talk they discuss the recent West Coast trip, Sam Ersson’s injury, and Ivan Fedotov’s impressive game in Toronto. They move on to talk about World Juniors, USA winning Gold, and Canada’s meltdown. Going around the NHL Nasty and Riles mention Ovechkin 23 goals away from Gretzky, the Maple Leafs rolling, the Anaheim Ducks’ and Montreal Canadiens hot streaks, Frank Vatrano’s interesting contract extension involving deferred payments, and the JT Miller/Elias Pettersson feud.

Ashlyn talks to us about her transition to the city and Philadelphia fans, how she got started in the sports media world , how she got the gig covering the Flyers, what it was like living in Florida watching the Lightning and Panthers, and what it’s like working with Scott Hartnell and Al Morganti. Going along she gives us her thoughts on the state of the team, Sam Ersson’s groin injury and the goalie carousel, Matvei Michkov, and we discuss the Flyers culture. Moving ahead she talks to us about what it’s like interviewing John Tortorella, some of her favorite people she’s interviewed, some people she’d love to interview, and her expectations for the Flyers the rest of the season. Finishing up the show Derek and Riley answer fan submitted questions presented by Klyr Rum.
