VGK handles Maple Leafs 5-2, win streak up to 3

The Golden Knights jumped out to an early 3-0 lead at the end of the first period, enroute to a 5-2 victory over Toronto at the Fortress Wednesday night. Tomas Hertl, Jack Eichel, Brett Howden, Noah Hanifin and Tanner Pearson all scored goals to lift VGK. In previewing the contest we talked about the amount of high danger chances the Maple Leafs have given up lately. In last night's game, Toronto allowed 15 high danger chances to VGK. The Golden Knight Zach Whitecloud dropped his gloves at the opening faceoff with Matthew Knies, who was retaliating from a hit he took from Whitecloud in a November game. That set the tone for the game. We also talk about Adin Hill, who is 3-0 since the 4 Nations. He has stopped 87 shots on 90 attempts. And we talk about trade rumors as the deadline hits on Friday.
