Catching The Bus: Episode 136

Catching The Bus: Episode 136

This is an unusual episode of the UK True Crime Weekly Podcast, as I look at the story of Louis Gillies, from Glasgow, who faced the charge that on a day between May 20 and June 7, 2002, at Eastbourne, he aided, abetted, counselled or procured the suicide of Michael Gooden, contrary to the Suicide Act 1961.

I look at the background to the charges and follow events through to their shocking conclusion.

The Missing Flatmate: Episode 459

The Missing Flatmate: Episode 459

In Greenock, west of Glasgow, the two flatmates had been taking part in something of a drinking session and had for many hours been putting the world to rights over multiple drinks – as you do. Soon six bottles of super strength wine and cider had been consumed and this ensured the pair were more than just a little inebriated. Then, in a drunken haze, Allan Napier suddenly asked housemate John: ‘Can you keep a secret?
