Is VGK trying to move Hertl by July 1?

The Golden Knights might be trying to trade Tomas Hertl to clear cap space for a potential move to land free agent Mitch Marner. Free agency is just six days away and there was a lot of talk of Hertl to Carolina on Tuesday. It turns out that Hertl has a modified trade clause in which he can pick three teams he wants to get traded to effective July 1, the start of free agency. The Athletic's Pierre LeBrun said the Marner list is growing with VGK the most mentioned team where Marner will land. The others are Dallas, LA, Anaheim, Carolina and Columbus. We talk about center depth and who would replace Hertl or William Karlsson, whose name re-surfaced again Tuesday. And we talk about the players who will be entering the Hockey Hall of Fame.
