Social, Cultural, and Economic Capital

The patriarchy is not a magic wizard behind the curtain. It employs strategies and tactics to achieve end goals. In this episode we use Pierre Bourdieu's theories of social and cultural capital to explain how one Black American emerged from a legacy of slavery into the American middle class, and how the patriarchy uses social, cultural, and economic capital to maintain power.
