The Year was 1848.... Spilled "T"over Tea Sparked a Women's Movement.

SERIOUS PERSONS WANTED TO ADVANCE THE ACHIEVEMENT OF WOMEN'S RIGHTS

The Women's Movement in the United States began nearly 61 years after the signing of the Constitution. Women wanted out of the patriarchy's iron cage. The goals were simple: individual sovereignty, political, legal, and economic equality, and the social recognition and respect of women's humanity.

Women started from the bottom and 175 years later are still here - trying to break out of the patriarchy's iron cage. The great news is that the Women's Movement is still alive, with work to do and looking for hard workers! In this episode of Divorcing Patriarchy, we'll take you back to Day 1 of the U.S. Women's Movement, where you'll learn the HerStory of some of the women who started it all. Equip yourself with knowledge, be inspired and join the Movement to Divorce Patriarchy!
