As much as we didn't want to have to talk about this one, here is our match report on a dismal result, after which even the Head Coach went public and berated his players after a spineless first half display in which most of Forest's reserves showed exactly why they aren't in the first team - fans can forgive a bad game, but never a lack of effort. In the end, subs Gibbs-White, Williams and Hudson-Odoi dragged the Reds back into it, with the winger's second goal being particularly tasty, but I don't think anyone would begrudge Wrexham their Hollywood ending in this match. The most important thing is that the record books will show that this was a win for Nottingham Forest. West Ham fans felt aggrieved at referee Tony Harrington and VAR Neil Davies, but Sky Sports and BBC experts alike agree that both controversial moments were correctly awarded, even if they were technical decisions. If Crysencio Summerville's second half effort had stood, then Forest would have been in deep trouble at 2-0 down. Instead, the wind was knocked out of the Hammers' sails and the Reds were galvanised, to equalise, and then when Morgan Gibbs-White withstood the pressure to convert a penalty in the last minute of the 90. Steven Toplis is joined by Tom Newton to discuss the result, refereeing and the team's performance, and what it means for Sean Dyche just over halfway through the season.
