Stalkkeri soitteli Kuykendalleille ja muutamalle muulle perheelle uhkaavia puheluja. Soittaja tuntui myös tarkkailevan uhkauspuheluiden uhreiksi joutuneita henkilöitä. Wackerin pariskunta taas joutui erilaisen vakavankin kiusanteon uhriki; heidän kotiinsa murtauduttiin, heille jätettiin uhkaavia kirjelappuja ja joku kävi jopa Dorothyn Wackerin kimppuun kahteen kertaan.
