Award-winning actress Angela Bassett's first break came in 1984 with a small role on 'The Cosby Show' and she got national recognition for her role as Tina Turner in 1993's 'What's Love Got to Do with It.' Bassett has been in a number of television shows and movies since, but she is now shifting her attention about getting the word out about a double health threat of Type 2 diabetes and how it ties in with heart disease.
