Om avsnittet

We all have an idea of the importance of George Martin to the history of The Beatles. But he didn’t just come out of nowhere. At age 24, he got a job with EMI. In 1955, at the age of 29, he became the head of Parlophone Records and found a great deal of success, especially with comedy records, featuring Peter Sellers, Spike Milligan, and more. His success allowed him the freedom to experiment with film scores, electronic music, and anything else he could think of. But the one thing that he really wanted was a huge, hit-producing pop artist. In this week’s podcast we talk about George Martin’s road to success! NOTE! We give you a nice long list of links for each episode. The links are almost as interesting as the podcast! See: https://beatles60.group/blog
