Om avsnittet

Terresa Moses is co-founder and creative director at Blackbird Revolt, she’s also an artist and assistant professor of Graphic Design at University of Minnesota Duluth. This is the second episode in a series with organizers in Duluth, Minnesota where we discuss their work in the community and how they practice self care. In our conversation Teresa & I discuss what it’s like not being able to visualize liberation & freedom. It brought to mind a recent piece by Vinson Cunningham in the New Yorker, where he said “Freedom hurts most when you can taste but never fully partake in it.” There’s a link to the full article in the description of this episode: https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2020/03/16/all-the-natalie-portmans-and-the-limits-of-hollywood-fantasy See Terresa's exhibition of intersectionality UMBRA: http://umbraexhibit.com/ Find & follow Blackbird Revolt online: Website: blackbirdrevolt.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/blackbirdrevolt/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/blackbirdrevolt Twitter: https://twitter.com/blackbirdrevolt Links discussed in this episode: Michael Fedo’s “Lynchings in Duluth” https://bookshop.org/a/9735/9781681340135 “The Lyncher in Me” https://bookshop.org/a/9735/9781681341095 Support #BTSPodcast, funds from June & July of 2020 will be donated to the ACLU: anchor.fm/btspodcast --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/btspodcast/support
