In this episode of Narcissist Apocalypse, Yvonne shares her story of dating a jealous & controlling abuser. Yvonne thought she met the man of her dreams. He was charming, chivalrous, and a former firefighter. He made Yvonne feel safe. However, lurking below 'Dr. Jekyl's' persona, was the 'Mr. Hyde' waiting to appear. Once Yvonne was trauma-bonded to her ex, the roller coaster of abuse began, and it became challenging for her to leave for good.

It's a story of jealousy, self worth, manipulation, double standards, bread crumbing, triangulation, trauma bonds, physical abuse, suicidal ideation, sexual assault, financial abuse, animal abuse, moving goal posts, being good enough, addiction, triangulation, gaslighting, infidelity, lies, isolation, rage, Jekyl & Hyde, victim playing, blame shifting, circular conversations, control, accusations, belittling, kernels of truth, feeling rushed, hoovering, and intermittent reinforcement.
