This week Derek sits down with star of the new DR show, Demenskoret, Claus Christensen. With a long resume as a singer, songwriter, and choir director, Claus has taken on his most rewarding endeavour yet - leading a choir of patients living with dementia. You'll learn singing and song are such a big part of culture in Denmark. Claus also shares how they're important in human biology human biology and the science that inspired the dementia choir concept.

Claus shares how singing helped him overcome a childhood stutter and inspires him to lead others in song by being patient, curious, and kind. Throughout the interview, he opens up about the emotional journey he went through in the production of this standout new DR series. He shares the precautions and high standard of ethics that protected the choir members and their families behind the scenes. You'll even find out the unique way in which Claus selected songs for the choir to sing in preparation for his ambitious concert.
