The book, 'Sh*t they don't tell you in nursing school,' addresses the raw realities of the profession, offering insights beyond the romanticized view and equipping readers with tools for resilience.

Jessica discusses her journey from burnout to becoming a coach and writer, emphasizing the importance of acknowledging and processing emotions, integrating traumatic experiences, and extending grace to oneself during transitions. The conversation also covers the significance of community and creating a life one loves, regardless of the challenges faced.

The real surprise of the episode is why she is returning to the nursing career after a gap and how and where does she intend to pick it up and what has changed over the course of her break.
