About Dr. Ghazala Alam:

Dr Ghazala Alam is originally from Karachi, Pakistan.She is a Primary Care Physician who has practiced in the Greater Boston area for over 21 years. She writes Urdu poetry with strong socio cultural and psychological undercurrents that appeal to the young and the young at heart.

She has been a guest poet at venues such as Aligarh Association Mushaira (poetry) in Boston. She's involved in several community charitable causes and takes pride in having set up programs to fight homelessness and hunger. She's fond of the outdoors and an avid biker having completed six Bikathons, all for charitable causes. She's married with two children.
