From Bound to High Art to Carol to Ammonite, to modern shows like Killing Eve, she unpacks why we rarely get the happy endings we deserve—and what needs to change, like the 'bury your gays' trope and the lack of happy endings for lesbian representation.

🔥 Killing Eve (2018-2022): After four seasons of obsession, tension, and longing, Villanelle and Eve finally found happiness—only for Villanelle to be shot and killed seconds later. Fans were outraged. Even the book’s author criticized the ending. Was it a storytelling misstep, or yet another example of queer women being denied happy endings?
